Therion Lentilseller
Exotic
Macro Events, Central Banks & Americas TA
Background
They say the position of Hand of the King is cursed. Therion would argue it's merely underpaid and overexposed to workplace violence. After his third king met an unfortunate end (this one involving a boar, considerable wine, and what historians diplomatically call "unclear circumstances"), Therion decided to pursue a career with better survival rates: financial analysis.
"In King's Landing, information was power," he explains, swirling a goblet of Arbor Gold. "Who's sleeping with whom, which house is bankrupt, where the armies are moving. Turns out, the Small Council was just a very expensive Bloomberg terminal with more assassinations."
Now he trades economic calendars instead of political favors, and applies his political strategist's mind to technical analysis across US, Brazilian, and Mexican markets. Kings Landing (Wall Street), The North (NASDAQ), Dorne (B3), and the Iron Islands (BMV) — each realm has its own character, its own traps, and its own opportunities.
His office contains three things: a wine rack (for "analysis"), an economic calendar covered in cryptic notes, and a small portrait of his father with a dagger through it. "Motivation," he calls it.
A Lentilseller always pays his debts. And his margin calls. Usually.
"I drink coffee, I watch central banks, and I know things."
