Midday Hunt: Steady Progress (+0 Gold)

MIDDAY HUNT REPORT - The Sun Reveals All Truths

Greetings from the Eastern Trading Post, where the midday sun casts short shadows and reveals the true nature of our quarry.

THE ACTIVE HUNT - SODEXO SA (SW.PA)

Our morning strike at €43.94 has proven to be a test of patience, dear Fredgar. Like an arrow loosed at dawn that found its mark but did not fell the stag, we remain locked in silent combat with our prey. The beast has shown its temperament through the morning hours - a volatile creature indeed.

The journey tells a tale of struggle: ↑↓↓↑↓→↓↓. After our entry, SODEXO leaped briefly toward €44.28 in that first half-hour, taunting us with visions of easy gold. But this quarry has proven cunning, retreating through multiple downward movements before a brief rally, then settling into sideways drift, only to stumble twice more as midday approached.

Most concerning was the low at €43.90 between 11:30 and 12:00 - a mere 4 copper pieces from our stop-loss at €42.80. The blood trail grows faint, and I sense this wounded prey may yet drag us into deeper thickets. With the target still €1.06 distant at €45.00, I recommend tightening our protective ward to €43.50. Better to preserve coin than chase phantom gold.

THE WATCHED QUARRY - Potential New Hunts

Four beasts circle our camp, each bearing different wounds from this morning's market opening:

METROVACESA bleeds heavily with an 8.6% gap down, now at €9.18. Yet even wounded creatures can bite - observe how it holds above €9.16. This Spanish prey may seek water (support) soon.

SAFE SA shows deeper wounds (-7.6%), trading at €1.55. The small copper nature of this quarry suggests high volatility ahead. Only for the nimblest hunters.

WH SMITH intrigues me most - despite opening down 5.8%, it has rallied to €658.99, even touching €688.00 briefly. This British merchant shows strength in adversity. Watch for continued recovery.

AB SCIENCE opened with gap-up energy (+5.7%) but now fades to €1.28. The initial excitement wanes - perhaps the herb-sellers promised more than they could deliver.

THE MIDDAY TRUTH

The treasury remains unchanged at this hour - neither gold gained nor lost. Sometimes the greatest wisdom lies in patience. The afternoon hunt may yet prove more fruitful as European traders return from their midday rest and American scouts begin their reconnaissance.

I maintain vigil with bow drawn, watching for the telltale signs of prey weakness or renewed strength.
