Sir Dogecoat's Morning Quest - March 30

❧ ❧ ❧

The Quest for Quality: A Morning's Honourable Silence

Hail, brave squires! Sir Dogecoat here, reporting from the trading ramparts after conducting the morning sacred scan across the European markets. The Holy Grail—still excellently functional as a pen holder, I might add—glows with a most curious restraint today.

Fifty candidates presented themselves, like knights answering the call to quest. The market itself whispers a LEAN_BULLISH disposition, a gentle wind at our backs rather than a roaring gale. One would think this fertile ground for action, yet here we stand, selecting naught but the air itself. And therein lies the wisdom, dear companions.

You see, the Spanish Inquisition taught us many lessons: fear, surprise, RSI, and fanatical devotion to ATR. But they neglected perhaps the greatest weapon—patience. Today's market, whilst tilted toward the bullish, lacks that particular lovely plumage we demand before committing capital to the field.

The fifty candidates are not resting in the fjords just yet. No, they're more like the Black Knight—still there, still present, but not quite worthy of our noble blade. The setups lack conviction. The technicals whisper rather than declare. The ATR suggests positions would be wafer-thin affairs, the sort that might cause indigestion to even the most robust trading account (remember Mr. Creosote's cautionary tale).

A LEAN_BULLISH bias is splendid for morale, naturally. It means we ride toward battle with the sun at our backs. But leaning is not striding! There's a profound difference between market structure favoring bulls and individual setups screaming for our attention with that unmistakable "Yes it is!" certainty that makes proper questing possible.

Therefore, we hold our coconuts close and our cash closer. The Holy Grail glows dimly—not red with warning, mind you, but rather amber with contemplation. A waiting game is not defeat; it's reconnaissance. Every great quest has moments of stillness, moments when even the most eager knight must acknowledge that none shall pass yet.

The market shall present worthier candidates soon enough. When it does, we shall ride forth with proper fanfare. For now, we walk our silly walk to the desk, remain vigilant, and remember: "Always look on the bright side"—today's restraint is tomorrow's advantage.

Onwards, squires! The day is young.

Hour 11 Update

Hark, noble squires! The Holy Grail glows most splendidly this hour—we have ridden forth with three magnificent long quests upon ISS.CO, TIETO.HE, and MING.OL, each displaying the most gorgeous Marubozu plumage and risk-reward ratios that would make even the Knights Who Say Ni weep with joy! The OMXS30 carries us forward with bullish tailwind at +0.60%, though we keep watchful eye upon young MILDEF.ST, whose RSI and MACD are beginning to pine most suspiciously for the fjords—'tis but a consolidation before the next advance, surely. All three sacred entries sit at session lows with tight stops, as a true knight knows: 'tis not the size of thy position, but the quality of thy risk management, that determines whether thou diest in glory or merely stubs thy toe most painfully. We ride at market open with hearts full of optimism and stops full of wisdom!

Hour 12 Update

Hark, brave squires! The market rides forth with most glorious momentum—five noble setups promoted to the quest, each bearing the lovely plumage of gap-fills and overbought continuations that would make even the Knights Who Say Ni weep with joy. MILDEF and NHY lead our charge with exceptional structure, whilst our newcomers SCATC and FORTUM carry the holy ADX above 58, confirming trend strength that rivals the very conviction of a man who's found the Grail (which, I assure you, now holds my favorite fountain pens most excellently). The EU leans bullish as a coconut-riding knight at full gallop—RSI readings climb toward the heavens, Stoch indicators max like a man who's just been told "just one more trade," and our risk-reward edges sparkle at 1.50 to 1.75, which is to say: none shall pass without profit should these dips hold their sacred support!

Hour 13 Update

Hark, brave knights! The Holy Grail gloweth with most ethereal luminescence—a quintet of noble steeds has answered our call to glory! From the energy valleys where Brent winds blow at +3.34%, our oil-soaked champions TTE, ENI, and GLEN gallop forth with RSI climbs that would make even the killer rabbit jealous, whilst our Swedish and Italian mechanics (NIBE and RACE) show plumage so splendid they've practically achieved liftoff velocity. The patterns sing sweetly—breakouts confirmed, gaps filled to bursting, ADX readings strong enough to fell three Black Knights before breakfast—and though we approach the treacherous peaks of overbought territory (some oscillators at 97.2!), the momentum torrent carries us onward like a coconut-laden swallow on a sacred mission. We ride at market open with our tightest stops and coolest heads, for 'tis written: blessed are those who follow the trend until the trend decidedly ceases to be!

Hour 14 Update

Hark, brave squires! The morning quest unfolds most gloriously—four noble steeds already ride forth with excellent plumage, and the market's silly walk is positively aristocratic this fine EU session. STG.CO, WALL-B.ST, EMEIS.PA, and TOM.OL have all answered the call to adventure, their RSI readings glowing bright as the Grail itself, their ADX values proving conviction most unwavering. The OMXS30 provides tailwind worthy of African swallows, and none shall pass our carefully-hewn ATR stops—we have measured our risk geometry with the precision of a knight selecting the correct shrubbery. Press onward! The dip buyers are indeed blessed this morning.

Hour 15 Update

Hark, brave squires! The Holy Grail glows with such radiance this hour that I fear it may set the pen holder ablaze – five noble steeds have answered our clarion call, each bearing the distinct plumage of momentum most earnest and breakouts most righteous! From the Swedish halls of CAMX to the Parisian strongholds of SESL, STMPA, and URW, our quest rides ever northward with ADX slopes steep enough to make even the Knights Who Say Ni take notice. The gap-fills complete, the overbought readings paradoxically confirm rather than warn (for in a bull's charge, even 99.5 Stoch becomes but a gentle tap upon the steed's flank), and the volume ratios whisper of concentration most cunning – truly, this is no "pining for the fjords" market, but rather one possessed of magnificent, aggressive plumage! We ride at the market open, armed with 2:1 risk-reward ratios sharp as Excalibur and ATRs tight as a shrubbery – the bright side has never looked so cheerfully bullish!

Hour 16 Update

Hark, brave squires! The Holy Grail gloweth with particular vigor this hour—QTCOM, SAMPO, and METSO have all answered the call with magnificent plumage, their +DI dominance and volume confirmations suggesting the market rides toward glory rather than ruin. Even our audacious short on BAS.DE carries the scent of a righteous reversal, for when RSI reaches 75.4 and Bollinger bands stretch like a French knight's insults, 'tis but a scratch before the mean revert claims its prize. The trend conviction is strong (ADX singing in the high 20s), the R:R ratios worthy of any quest, and with but one hour remaining, we charge forth with the blessed assurance that the dip-buyers have done their noble work. Always look on the bright side—even if BAS.DE means-reverts aggressively, we've three other steeds galloping toward Camelot!
