Sir Dogecoat's Morning Quest - February 17

❧ ❧ ❧

Greetings, brave knights of the trading realm! Sir Dogecoat here, fresh from my morning silly walk to the trading desk, where the Holy Grail glows faintly with anticipation. The markets are presenting us with a rather curious tableau this fine morning, much like the Bridge of Death - we must answer wisely or be cast into the gorge of financial ruin!

The indexes are displaying what I'd call a "dead parrot" performance - they're not quite deceased, but they're certainly resting. With the DAX and STOXX50 essentially flat as a pancake, and the VSTOXX elevated at 20.2, we're in that peculiar state where volatility is high but direction is as elusive as the Knights Who Say Ni. Still, blessed are the dip buyers, for they shall inherit the reversals!

Among our fifty noble candidates, I've spotted some rather lovely plumage on several setups. The Spanish utility NTGY.MA has performed the financial equivalent of the fish-slapping dance - a violent reversal from its gap opening that's pushed RSI to an almost biblical 84.1. With ADX strengthening at 64.5 and the stock trading near session highs, this beauty is primed for a pullback to more sensible levels. Nobody expects the Spanish correction!

Meanwhile, the Italian energy knight ERG.MI has been charging forth like a Black Knight, refusing to acknowledge any bearish sentiment. Trading well above all pivots with RSI at 83.2, it's displaying the kind of momentum that would make even the French taunters jealous. However, methinks it protests too much about its invincibility.

On the bearish side, BICO.ST appears to be joining the choir invisible of oversold stocks. With RSI plummeting to 16.3 and the stock breaking below its opening range, it's exhibiting the classic signs of a wounded knight. Yet sometimes these apparent corpses spring back to life with a hearty "I'm not dead yet!" when they find support.

The markets may be playing the Argument Clinic today, constantly debating direction, but patience and proper risk management shall see us through. We ride at market open with measured positions and stops tighter than a coconut's grip!

Hour 11 Update

Greetings, brave traders! The market continues its quest northward with most indexes showing green banners, though the VSTOXX warns of potential dragons ahead at elevated 20.2. My faithful watch on BICO.ST shows some recovery from its oversold depths - RSI climbing from 16.3 to 28.8 with positive momentum building, though we're not quite ready to charge into battle yet. With only one active position in our war chest, 'tis time to seek new adventures amongst these candidates showing lovely technical plumage!

Hour 12 Update

Ah, good Sir! The markets present quite the cavalry charge today - we have LEAN BEARISH conditions with elevated VSTOXX at 20.4, making it a splendid time for SHORT positions! My trusty Grail is glowing faintly as I spot some delightfully oversold bounty among the fallen knights. None of my current watches have triggered their sacred conditions yet, but several new candidates are practically shouting "Run away!" in the most profitable manner possible.

The Holy Grail suggests we should add a few oversold warriors to our watch list - particularly those showing RSI readings that would make even the Black Knight cry "Tis but a scratch!" Let us prepare for battle!

Hour 13 Update

Greetings brave knights! The Grail glows faintly this hour as our noble quest continues. BICO remains stubbornly pining for the fjords despite our earlier hope, whilst the markets show lovely plumage with bullish momentum abounding. Several candidates present themselves with RSI readings above 73 and strong breakouts - 'tis time to ride forth into battle with fresh positions, for fortune favors the bold!

Hour 14 Update

Hail brave knights! The markets run away from us like French taunters, but fear not - even in this bearish realm we shall find our holy trades! The Grail glows faintly as RSI oversold levels beckon like the Bridge of Death. Our Spanish Inquisition weapons remain sharp: fear, surprise, ATR stops, and fanatical devotion to 2:1 ratios. Nobody expects sudden reversals, but we shall be ready!

Hour 15 Update

Greetings, brave trading knights! 'Tis now the sacred hour of 15:02, and I see the market battlefield spreads before us with LEAN_BULLISH winds at our backs! The Grail glows with modest enthusiasm (though not quite the blazing beacon we'd prefer), suggesting we should ride forth with measured courage rather than reckless abandon.

By my sword, we've twelve noble steeds already charging into battle, which shows proper commitment to the quest! With elevated session conditions demanding clear signals and 2:1 rewards, I shall scout these new candidates for worthy warriors to join our ranks.

Hour 16 Update

By the Holy Grail's faint glow, the market remains as indecisive as the French guards at Castle Anthrax! With less than an hour remaining, 'tis time to be bold rather than cautious - the afternoon's mixed signals suggest individual stock prowess shall triumph over index weakness. Several oversold warriors show signs of resurrection, whilst a few momentum knights charge forth despite the market's silly walk sideways.
